Before we started to foster, we were not sure if we were dog people. But the idea of having a dog was appealing. After many years of being a “cat only” household, we decided that we could help out
dogs with no family to call their own,
and see what it was like to care for one.
With our first foster, Annie, it was a totally new and great experience. She taught us a lot about the needs of dogs and our lifestyle. She is is a Whippet mix and needless to say she needed to run and exercise. What a great challenge for us!
Since then we’ve had Tasha, Golda, Midge, Turbo, Bonkers and Dash. Each dog is special in his/her own way and we get to see it with each one that comes to our haven.
