Fostering

... one Foster Dog Mom’s definition

Fascinating – they captivate me as they explore each inch of their new surroundings.

Occupying – they live in my home for a short while, but in my heart forever.

Stimulating – I learn the personalities of each little soul.

Tail-wagging – we walk, play and tumble about.

Energizing – each brings their own blend of calm and spunk.

Relaxing – I sit quietly petting a new friend.

Inspiring – they were abandoned yet still just want to give unconditional love.

Nurturing – I care for their life needs, they care for my emotional needs.

Gratifying!!!

Adorable Andy

Cuddler, cuddler, cuddler. He brought instant smiles to everyone he met.

Pete
Pete was with me while recuperating from being neutered. He was the ‘endless kisser', so excited to be out of a shelter where he'd lived for 2 months.

Emma
Emma was an 8-week old ball of energy! Watching her romp and figure out who that other dog in the mirror was, was just too cute.

Willy

Rocky Ramone

Belle (Heidi)
Heidi came to me as my 8th foster. I was told she was in need of special one-on-one attention. I worked with Belle slowly gaining her trust and getting her acclimated to the world. After about 4 weeks, I knew I couldn't let Belle go. Fast forward to 7 weeks since we met. She goes to work with me, wagging her tail and prancing as she goes in. She's learned to sit on command, and loves to go on walks. Looking back I think I knew from the beginning that I would end up adopting her!
Willie was my 6-year old boy who followed me from room to room – always at my feet or snuggled up next to me. His favorite hobby – playing indoor fetch and squeaking his toys.
Mr. Snuggler. He loved to be carried and to snuggle next to me. A true Dachshund, he loved to burrow - especially sleeping under the covers in my bed.

Brie

Happy Peanut

Brie came to me walking in with her tail wagging and I think the only time it stopped was when she was asleep. She was a little 'love bug' who relished going on walks.
Happy Peanut was my 4-year old boy who had the cutest snort. Having been a 'farm boy', I got the pleasure of watching him develop into a 'city boy' as he learned to do stairs, walk on a leash, play with toys, and let cars go by without trying to chase them.
