Carol and Chris adopted our sweet Rat Terrier, Jose. His new name is Taz.
"We adopted Taz (formerly Jose/Rocky)
from the Annual Spring Adoption Event in Preston.
He seems to have adjusted to his new life and we couldn't be happier
with him. He's been pretty good with our two cats but does give
chase on occasion only because he wants to play with them! Of
course, they want nothing to do with that!
Taz loves his afternoon walks, his bones, squeaker toy and going to
go to work with his Dad on Friday's. In fact, if Chris shows up at
work without Taz his co-workers are very disappointed.
We've also
started obedience training recently and things seem to be going
well. He is a little jealous when Chris pets the Lab pup that sits
next to us in class but we're hoping this behavior will subside as
he continues to feel more secure with us. In time we do plan on
adding another dog to our family so it will be important that Taz be
a good big brother.
Taz is a very affectionate and loving pup that likes to follow us
around the house to make sure he doesn't miss anything. But he's
very good at retiring to his "room" when it's time for bed.
We can't express enough how grateful we are to the people at People
United for Pets for taking such good care of our boy before we
brought him home with us. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks so much,
Chris, Carol, Magoo, Noodle and Taz..."
We received this wonderful update from Chris and
Carol in February, 2008.
Taz is doing great and we’ve gotten so much
enjoyment out of having him around. We took him on his
first road trip down to the Oregon coast just this past
weekend and he had a great time. He travels well and was
able to settle down and sleep in the car once he figured out
that we were going to be driving for awhile. Anyway, I’ve
attached a few photos, one of him on Christmas night playing
on his new blanket with his squeaker flower toy and the rest
of are our trip to the Oregon coast. Enjoy and thanks
again!
