Linda and Tom adopted Chico, now known as Rikki.  They sent this update in January, 2008.

When Chico came home, Ruby was so happy to see her brother. She just lit up like, "A play date!"  As if not wanting to waste a minute, Ruby wanted to get right into play time, but Chico remained very quiet and reserved.  At 6:29...Chico decided it was safe to cut loose!  Ruby showed him the toy box and he lit up.  We had toys EVERYWHERE!!  His little tail came up and he bounced back and forth.  They chased and played tag.  It was great to see!  We're going to have FUN.  When everybody was tired, we did a family snuggle in front of the fireplace.  Chico was comfortable enough to expose his belly and fall asleep.  He did his tinkles and potty outside--twice for both!I'd say, Day 1 was very successful.

A few weeks later and we hear Rikki continues to do great!  He is our little lover boy!  Tom still goes home at lunch to visit and break up their day.  Rikki and Ruby are best buddies.  Ruby is Rikki's idol.  He is always trying to be like her and do the things she does--it's very cute!  They play a good game of chase every day and where you find one, you'll usually find the other.  We're still working on potty training, but it seems to have "clicked" with him as to why we are heading to the door.  After he has done his business, he swaggers back inside with a big grin and his tail swinging at full mast!
