Our cute
little Bug has a wonderful home with Jill. She has named him Paco.
Dear Laura and PUP volunteers,
Just wanted to say thank you for helping bring Bug and me together. (He's
now officially Paco, a family name. But I still call him Bug in private.
:))
We've only been together for a few weeks,
but I feel like we've been together much longer. We bonded very quickly --
by the end of the first day he was glued to my side (and lap, and ankles,
and face ...) and sleeping next to me, tummy up and half-asleep requesting
belly rubs. |

He is
extraordinarily calm and friendly and seems to enjoy life very much. He
wags his tail to jazz and is quite the tap dancer when excited about
treats or W-A-L-K-S. He prances and rolls in tall grass. It's very clear
this dog has been loved and well cared for.
A favorite walk of his is to Cal
Anderson Park near my home where he meets other dogs (I think
he has a crush on a black pug!) and loves to trot through the
fountain. He has great energy and curiosity -- he actively
goes up to other dogs and people, and loves running after big
dogs especially. Fearless!
You can tell he feels good and
confident in his fur. I take him to sidewalk cafes and
restaurants quite a bit, and he is the perfect little smiling
gentleman; he has trained a few local waiters to bring him
water bowls -- one big-brown-eyed and head-cocked look from
him and they are at his service. |

We are in touch with his foster family, who adored him and were so helpful
with information during the adoption process. We have a play date with
them (including his Chihuahua foster brother Godzilla) to Magnuson Park
planned soon.
I am completely in love with this dog. I love waking up and playing
find-the-Chihuahua in my bed. (This morning I found him happily snoozing
*inside* the duvet cover.) I love kissing his warm little head. I love his
ransacking my backpack while searching for a single loose treat. I love
his 1000 expressions: the Gizmo face, the old-man face, the sage face, the
crazy face, the I'm-reading-your-mind face, the bat face, the Taco Bell
face (kind of like the old-man face but a little different), and so on...
you get the picture. He is a delight. I feel so very
lucky to be able to share my days with this special little man.
Thanks
again to PUP for your help and for being such great advocates for these
wonderful animals. |
