Carter, our adorable Doxie/Terrier mix now lives with Stephanie and Rick. They can't imagine their home without their new canine friend, who they have re-named Oliver.

They wrote, "He is so much fun to have around! He and our cats, Francine and Evie, keep each other company during the day. They are very patient with him, and even enjoy playing and sharing their sofa with him!

We took him to a groomer the first day he was home, where they just loved him. They have a special place in their hearts for rescued dogs.

Oliver is having fun in his new backyard and loves to play with his new toys. He is getting plenty of exercise here with his new family. We take him for walks in the morning and in the evening, and give him playtime at least once a day in the backyard. He loves playing "Keep Away", wanting us to chase him for his toy.
 

He is a sweet, loving boy--and so SMART! He is eager to please and eager to learn, especially when he knows there is a treat, a toy or a "good boy, Oliver!" to reward him. He is lively and energetic, but loves snuggle time as much as our cats do. He has adjusted to his new routine so quickly!
 

We are going to start training classes in two weeks. I think it will give him more confidence. He has so much potential and is such a quick learner. We also hope to learn as much as we can to keep him happy and healthy.
