Our Pekingese mix, Murphy now lives with Bryan, Jeri, Zach, Lyza and Panda.

"Murphy is doing very well. He’s a very sweet tempered doggie, bouncy and happy and just a little clingy to his people. He loves playing with toys (and Zach), motordogging through the backyard, and napping on the ottoman.

He sleeps through the night, is good natured about his eyedrops, and isn’t too barky – yet – although he and Panda can get going a bit. He loves to chew but is doing great about keeping it to the toys, like Panda he likes furry critter toys. We have had one toy bite the dust, he started pulling stuffing out. His housebreaking has held up perfectly, and we’re working with him on using the doggie door."

The resident Peke, Panda has taken slowly to Murphy's arrival. "She’s still in a bit of a snit, but seems happier.  They do have wild, motordogging play sessions now, although they usually end with Panda getting territorial or pushed too far, and snarling a stop – entirely appropriate doggie behavior. They’ll figure each other out eventually."

Regarding Murphy, Jeri adds, "I think he’s very happy here. It’s great to see him bouncing and telling us hello when we walk in the door – he’s such an enthusiastic pup! And Panda is getting a little better with him every day, less snarly, more tolerant of him, and more willing to play."
