Now named Mindy, our Mimi went to live with Janelle and Steve.
They write,
"Just wanted to touch base with you to let you know that Mindy (Mimi) is
doing wonderful! We are truly blessed to
have such a wonderful dog.
She sleeps through the night, yes on our bed, and prefers
to be touching both of us at the same time. Bubba, the calico cat really
likes her puppy food, maybe that will be
the trick
to get her to gain some weight. Mel
(the hiding cat) has
come out of hiding and she and Mindy have a
good time
chasing each other. Actually Mindy pretty much runs around and comes back
to Mel to get a couple of pats (punches) on the head. But then Mel hides
and jumps out
at her as well :)
We're very happy everyone is getting along. We took Mindy
to a familly
bar-be-que on Sunday and got more than one
offer to dog sit should we ever
need it. She played well
with the kids and enjoyed many adult laps!
Thanks again for letting us adopt Mindy. Please tell her foster mom that we are grateful for the care and training that she
gave her."
An update from Janelle and Steve:
"We are doing very well, and still
believe we are the luckiest people on earth. Mindy is a treasure; she is
learning come, wait, sit and potty outside (still needs a little work with
the potty outside), but all is good.
The 4th fireworks were a concern
for us as our area is very active. She sat up a couple of times, we went
to bed about 8pm and she slept through the bulk of it. She even went
outside to potty when things were going on!
We've read "Cesar's Way" and "Chihuahuas for Dummies," as your website
suggested. Both have been very helpful.
Thanks again to you and your fosters for all that you do."
