Roger, Carol and CharLi came a long way to meet
and adopt Keagan. Carol recently gave us an update.
"Rog & I ask ourselves how we were blessed
with 2 such wonderful, unique dogs. In fact it doesn't seem right referring to them as "dogs". In private we
refer to ourselves to the "boys" as "Mommy" & "Daddy" - which makes them
our "children". To others we refer to them as our "boys", and yes our
other children have been known to exhibit eye rolls at this. Doesn't
bother me a smidge, as they are the same with their canine adoptees (each
of my 2 daughters have 2 canine additions to their families).
CharLi & Keagan are happy and playful together. Both enjoy Roger playing
the sax at which times they throw their heads up and sing along with the
music with tails wagging - stopping exactly when he does. It is something
to hear (see photo at left).
A hundred thank yous would not be enough for entrusting Keagan to us. He
is our wonderful big boy. Our vet has stated his eyes are coming along
very nicely and requires meds in the left eye every morning and every
other morning for the right eye. Both eyes get regular soothing eye drops
each night. She has stated that with this treatment his dry eye will not
progress.
I could go on and on, but I will let the pictures do the story. Keagan is
the white and tan, and CharLi is the tan.
Another thank you to you and all of your group for the wonderful work
that you do. Keagan enriches our life on a daily basis."
