Charlie asleep

Charlie (Harry Spotter)

Our blue-eyed Harry Spotter was adopted by Allison and Bart. Allison sent this update:

"I just wanted to write and let you know things are going great. We changed Harry's name to Charlie (I was ok with Harry but Bart really wanted to call him Charlie). He already knows his name is Charlie too, he picked it up fast and comes running when we call him. He's very smart, a little goofy but we like that.

Charlie on his bed

We have him sleep in a soft crate in our bedroom at night so he's close to us. But he really likes to be on the bed with us and we've let him a couple times, we might have started something there but I don't mind too much and he seems to adapt well if we make him get down. He likes the big bed I got him. Its in the middle of the living room and close to everything going on in the house.

The day that I picked him up we went to a dog park in Seattle that I had heard of. I kept him on the leash the entire time but I wanted him to get in a little socialization time and he was perfect, treated each dog kindly even the more assertive dogs.

We also went to a PetSmart where I picked up a few things for him and people commented on his eyes and how cute he was. He was very obedient in the store, stayed by my side and let me try shirts on him without any problems, I gave him some treats (made him sit first) for being so good."

We at PUP are very happy to see that Charlie is settling in so well with his new family. We agree with Allison when she said,

"I really think this is where he belongs."
