I have loved dogs ever since I can remember – everything from our family dog to the many strays that followed me home. I loved them all. Somewhere along the way, I gravitated to dachshunds, and my husband, Truman, to the Boston Terriers. These little guys grew up with our girls, and were definitely part of the family.

As an adult I came to realize that all dogs did not have families, and all were not so lucky. I wanted to do something to help, but really didn’t know how to make a difference. It seemed so overwhelming. PUP offered a wonderful and satisfying way to help. By offering our time to foster little dogs or offer other volunteer services, we give a little pet a chance to find a home. It is so rewarding and just plain makes my heart feel good. I plan to be involved for a long time to come in this excellent organization.
