We adopted Rudy (Mishu) last August - right before a road trip to Central Washington. He did really well in the car - he actually finds it most comfortable at my feet in the passenger side or under the seat - I think because the cool air comes through the vents. He has settled in wonderfully with our other pug Bigelow. We renamed him Rudy and it seems to fit his personality. He loves to follow me from room to room and will never take his eyes off of me. My husband gets jealous as most evenings both dogs will settle with me on the sofa - so I get named the "dog hog". Rudy loves to sit on my lap - especially if I have the blanket. Rudy has even developed a trick - he will go to the door and bark as if someone is there just to get Bigelow to join him in this frenzy - once Bigelow gets up from my lap - Rudy will jump up and take his place. Bigelow falls for it nearly every time. Although Rudy is 10 years old - he sure acts like his is still a puppy. He has a favorite stuffed animal he likes to chew on - and will often take it to bed with him. He loves to cuddle with his toy and will often fall asleep with it in his mouth. We really enjoy having Rudy around... he does well on walks.. although he is the last to get up in the morning. He also enjoys hanging out in the yard - the past few days when it has been sunny - he has found a favorite spot in the yard to bask in the sunshine. Thanks so much for introducing us to Rudy. We love him very much. |
