Doogie (10/07)

Doogie is one special little boy who found his forever home in October, 2007.  His new mom Stacey shared the following with us shortly after she took him home and he fell into her heart.

Doogie and I had a great night.  I must tell you it was VERY hard not to let him up on my bed.  He kept trying to paw on the bedspread to get up but I made him sleep in his crate.  My bed is so high that I know it's better for him but oh boy is it hard not to let him sleep up there with me.

He does love to snuggle and he rolls over on his back for me to pet his tummy so I think that's a good sign.  He follows me everywhere and likes to walk outside with me.  He's just as happy though curling up on a blanket on my sofa.  Every once in a while he will look up to see where I am and what I'm doing.  My house is small enough that he can usually see me while I'm doing dishes or whatever.

I took him to meet "Grammy"  (my mom).  They loved each other!  I belted his crate in my car and he rode just fine like that.  I'm going to get him something different though.  The crate's too big and I want him to be able to see outside, etc.  I just want to make sure he's safe.

I'm so glad I got to adopt him!  He is so sweet and so fun.  I can't tell you thank you enough.  He's already my baby!
