A day after Dewey found his new home, and his family is already in
love with him...
"Dewey's
been with us for less than 24 hours but seems to be acclimating even
better than we'd hoped for so soon! He loves his new yard--shows
very happy dog body language when we take him out--and has come to
lay his head on us and even snuggle a bit at times. He slept in his
crate and didn't make a peep the whole night and he hasn't had any
accidents in the house.
Dewey will be starting school next week too--an obedience
class--with his new cousin and future playmate (whom he'll meet
tonight), my mom's Japanese Chin. We anticipate him being the star
pupil as we can tell he's a bright boy who wants to please! While
he's still timid with new things and people (he met his "grandma"
and let her give him pets), he has played a bit, ate breakfast right
away and has even wagged his tail for us.
More to
come as Dewey settles in but I wanted to thank all of you for taking
good care of him, helping him get socialized and mostly for giving
this little sweetie a chance! We love him already!"
