Abby (updated 3/08)

Abby the 7 year old Shih Tzu, was adopted by Nicole and Anthony.

They wrote to tell us that she is doing wonderfully. "She is right at home! She has found her space and knows she is not going anywhere. She is here to stay."

Even Abby herself, added something for her Happy Tail page,

"I was recently adopted by my new mom and dad. They are awesome! When I arrived at my new home, I saw my two new beds, a brand new wardrobe, and all the bones you could desire!

I have a big backyard I can run around in as my mom and dad work in the yard. I have a new best friend, his name is Snoodle, he is a Scottish terrier who lives next door and we like to play through the fence.

My favorite things to do are lying on my deck in the sun, going on my long walks, and cuddling with my parents at night when we all go to bed.

Thank you PUP, we are thankful for our new family!"

One year later, March 2008 and we received this update from Nicole. Anthony and the beautiful Abby.

It has been a year since we adopted Abby and wanted to give you an update.  In the past year, Abby has really come into her own.  She was quite shy and took awhile to get use to people and other animals, due to her past.  We are happy to say she now is friendly with our neighbors, friends, and family.  When my husband and I drive home she knows the sound of our vehicles and is waiting at the door for us.

We have her trained to go into stores with us and to not be scared if someone wants to say hello to her.  She knows that her mom and dad will make sure she is protected.

She just had her one year check up with the Vet.  She was give a clean bill of health and now does not need any dental work due to the diet and bones we give her.  Another concern my husband and I had about her was keeping her ears and eyes in excellent condition. Because of the diet and regular groomings she is doing fantastic.  Her Groomer is in love with her, she threatens to keep her every time we go.

We wanted to thank PUP again for giving us the opportunity in adopting her.   We hope we are able to adopt with PUP in the future.

Thank you again PUP for bringing a family together!
