Angel gazing up

Angel was one of Laura's first "official" rescues.  She came from the Portland area where she had been hit by a car. Because her family could not afford all of the costs associated with the accident (repair to her frame/hernia), she was surrendered to the City Shelter. A wonderful group (Dandelion Dog Rescue) transported her to the Seattle area where I come into the picture.

My name is Barb Donohue and I am technically a cat rescue lady (Fabulous Felines). However, I LOVE all animals and if left to my own devices I'd have a ton of dogs, cats, rabbits, etc in my home as "rescues". Since I am not left to my own devices I only rescue cats! :-)  My husband and I did decide to foster Angel while she healed from her injuries.

Our family quickly became very attached and fell in love with this literal "angel". Angel lived with us for about 6 weeks, after which she went to live with her permanent home/mom - back in the Portland area (no, not the original owners).

Fostering was a very rewarding experience!!! We got to experience first hand the emotional and physical healing of one of God's little creatures. Angel grew very dear to us and had it been the right time in the "life" of our family, we would have kept her!
